Kinetic Orthotics focuses on combining allied health care professionals to treat members of the community with orthopaedic and biomechanical dysfunction. Our in-house laboratory allows us to extend our services to on-the-spot adjustments and modifications of orthotics, footwear and custom bracing, allowing for a more comprehensive and efficient service to patients.
Our mission is to educate and create awareness in the community by offering multi-disciplinary orthopaedic care in a positive environment that encourages personal growth and development.
Werner Lau - B.Sc. Kin, C.Ped. Tech (C), C.Ped (C)
Werner has been a practicing member of the orthopaedic allied health care profession since 2004. He developed a keen interest in lower extremity early in his career and became a Canadian Certified Pedorthist and Canadian Pedorthic Technician in 2009.
As a member of both the Pedorthic Association of Canada and The College of Pedorthics of Canada, he continues to advance his variety of pedorthic skills including gait assessments, orthotic manufacturing, footwear modifications and high risk patient care.
Werner's fluency in both English and Cantonese allows him to practice in both languages.
Outside of operating Kinetic Orthotics, Werner enjoys mountain biking, road cycling, running, skiing and being a fifth degree black belt karate instructor. If this active lifestyle isn't enough to keep him busy, he is also happily married and a proud father of 2 children.
Cameron New - BEng, C. Ped (C)
With a background in Civil Engineering and a love for both shoes and moving around in them, it is not surprising that Cam eventually found the world of Pedorthics. Solving complex biomechanical issues while seeing the impact it can have on patients is extremely rewarding.
An Alberta native, Cam has lived and recreated in every major town in the province. With free time usually dedicated to driving West and exploring the mountains, he is in tune with the demands of the sports that Calgarians love: hiking, skiing, snowboarding, touring, climbing and cycling.
Allysa Licudine - Clinic Manager
Allysa enjoys being part of the Kinetic Orthotics team and takes pride in creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient who walks through the door. With a background in healthcare administration and customer service, she brings a friendly, organized, and attentive approach to her role. She enjoys building connections with patients, helping with appointments and insurance questions, and making each visit as easy and comfortable as possible.
Alongside her work at Kinetic Orthotics, Allysa is currently pursuing her studies in Health Information Management, continuing to grow her knowledge and experience in the healthcare field. Outside of work and school, she enjoys travelling, road trips, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her loved ones, family, and friends. She also loves staying active, discovering new places, and enjoying the little things that make life memorable.
